Official Google Reader Blog: Calling All Ideas!

How and Where to Reap Benefits of Writing Articles

For years I have always felt I had a knack for writing but I guess I just never thought of it as a career. I enjoyed writing but had no place that I could utilize these skills. About a couple of months ago, on the news on TV I witnessed a woman speaking about ehow.com . . . and the rest is history. If you have thoughts and ideas, why not give writing articles a try. You would be surprised how the information starts flowing out of you.
I did not know exactly what it was all about but I am always looking for ways to generate an income from home and thought I would check it out. I have enjoyed it so much that I kept hearing about other sites for writing articles, actually from other ehow.com community members, because ehow.com is all about people helping people.
All the sites do have some rules associated with them, several not allowing you to post resource links that may allow you to generate residuals, like click bank; some won’t allow articles that you have posted on other sites, only original articles by you alone, no duplicates. Some have difficulty uploading photos and with some articles like a craft you made, a room you decorated, a generic photo won’t do.
If you want your writing career to get off to a good start, (not an overnight get rich quick scheme), I would like to give you some suggestions that may help. I would surely appreciate your help and support as well in using me as a referral to the start of your writing career -
• One of the first sites I tried is http://www.firehow.com/profile/View-user-profile.html?user=344. Just cut and paste this link to my profile and learn more about the site and articles published there. This site is very similar to ehow.com and all articles need to start with “How To . . . “Most of the rules and outlines are very much like ehow.com and income generated is about the same. They do accept articles that have been published already on ehow.com but it is like making money on your articles in two separate sites. You can also post links to the site that refer to your article.
• http://www.bukisa.com/join/2736 - is another great site that I like. As always they want you to write original items that are your own, not copied from anyone else or any other source. What I do like about them as well is you can post links after your articles for extra resources, even links for your click bank account and affiliates.
• http://www.xomba.com/referral/777d891f - This is another cool site to list your articles about anything of interest. You are allowed links and affiliates on this site as well. Not only can you write articles but also do product reviews and other forms of writing. Kind of a fun site to check out.
• http://hubpages.com/my/tracker/1z5anjzwxi37p - This site offers a lot of variety in writing talents and of course the more articles you write, the more “fans” you get and the more income you generate. They have a challenge going on right now, 30 Hubs in 30 Days. Their articles you write are called Hubs. They do allow some links in your articles which relate to the subject you are writing only, a limit of 2 links.
• http://factoidz.com/create-account.php?refer=4S4770 - This site has a lot of potential. They do have different rates for different articles depending on subject matter and if they are duplicates from other sites. They do not allow links on their articles but do offer a lot of potential to broaden your horizons, especially if you may be an expert in a certain subject.
I hope I have been able to help you as you venture further into your writing career. Keep up the great writing on ehow.com as it seems to be a great community of friends and co-authors while at the same time find your niche and make additional income on other great sites.
If you are really interested in being a great writer, I have a great eBook “HOW TO EARN PASSIVE INCOME AT EHOW.COM” written by Maria O’Brien, an author who was a big part of ehow.com and now shares all her secrets for earning a passive income, not only on eHow but anywhere. You will learn the secrets of using keywords & where, and a step by step guide to writing an article. I got this book myself and highly recommend it at https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?ii=121991&c=cart&aff=81823&ejc=2&cl=27349. The very best of luck to all of you.
